Through the efforts of our Development team we have come up with “Universal Control” compatible to work with all our previous models as well to majority of testing machines of other makes. As known mechanical structure does not go obsolete and can be set to work at any time. Electronics, Computers and Software fields have evolved at a great pace. To keep the old machines working and to keep it compatible with the latest Computers & Operating Systems with the capability to cater to the demanding material testing requirements, Series 9000 Console has been developed.

Compact, Light weighted, easy to use, based on latest high speed micro controller, Console provides convenient access-at the load frame-to all the controls you need, to properly load specimens. In addition it enables to give an input of the required test parameters, it provides run, stop, crosshead positioning & returning and pneumatic or Hydraulic grips control.
Series 9000 Console has PC Interface through RS 232 as well as USB serial port. Hence no slave card is required to be fitted inside the PC.
Series 9000 Console has the capability to store 6 (six) different Test Procedures, where test names can be set as per the user’s choice. The advantage of this is, say eg. If the 6 different Test are :

  1. Rubber Dumbbell
  2. Plastic Tensile
  3. Rubber compression
  4. Wire Tensile
  5. Flexural
  6. Fix Load Test

As known each Test has individual Test Speed, Gauge Length, Pre- Loading, Results to be obtained and printed, Load Tare options, Cross-Head return option etc, these parameters are stored individually for each Test procedure. Hence on selection of the required Test the user need not have to worry about setting Testing parameters.

All Sensors are Self Identified and have Auto Calibration is set. i.e That is they are like plug & playsystem. The advantage of this system is, if a new sensor like the Load cell or Extensometer is required to be attached then one need not send the console to us nor an Engineer is required to be sent to calibrate the new user with unit as all the calibration parameters are with in the respective connecting plugs of the sensors

Various Methods for Stress Calculation are available viz. :

1) T.S.=Load / Cross sectional area (most commonly used),
2) Tenacity= Load in grams / Denier (used in Yarn testing),
3) T.S.= Load in grams / Mg200 (used in filament & Lamp Industries for Tungsten & Melobidium wires),
4) Flexural strength=3PL/2bd*d (P=Load, L=span, b=width, d=depth)
Percentage Strain Calculation formulas available are : 1) % Strain = (Change in length / gauge length) * 100, 2) % Strain = (Change in Perimeter / initial Perimeter) * 100 (Used for Ring specimen like Orings & Condoms)

Printer Interface :

Compatible to work with Epson dot-matrix printer LX-300+ with serial interface. Two print options are available viz Manual & Automatic. In the manual mode user needs to take all the print actions. In the Automatic mode all the printing requirements are taken care of by the console.
